One of Northwest AHEC's practices in located in Catawba County recently received a training from Practice Support staff on Managing Difficult Patient Situations. Three years after the world shut down and forced a stay-at-home order due to COVID-19 pandemic response, Northwest AHEC is looking back and REFLECTING on what we have learned.

In an effort to improve physician skills and experience with Telehealth, Northwest AHEC and Wake Forest School of Medicine Internal Residency were awarded a grant to produce online learning for physicians and distribute medical supplies to patients.  Funding allowed telehealth technology capabilities to be fully integrated in two clinics.

The third year of hosting the conference virtually attracted over 100 attendees representing a diverse crowd from all over NC and beyond.

Northwest AHEC's own Melanee Mills, Program Coordinator for Health Careers and Workforce Diversity, was able to go and experience the Minority Health Conference on February 24th along with a few other AHEC colleagues.
