How Good Is Your Sleep? Sleep Deprivation and Strategies for Better Sleep (Earn 1 hour CE Credit, No Fee)

Jul 29, 2024 9:54:26 AM / by Andrew L. Brewer, MS, NBHWC

Sleep is one of the foundational pillars of our overall health and wellness. Not getting enough can leave you sleep deprived and can result in downstream negative health consequences. Sleep hygiene, sleep strategies, sleep aids, and sleep medications can help get us back on the path to rest and recovery through sleeping well.

Learn what the brain and body are doing during sleep, the importance of sleep for overall health, and how other lifestyle, work schedule, and congenital conditions can lead to poor sleep.

Researcher, faculty member, and clinician Ruth Benca, MD joins the podcast to demystify sleep and health. She also discusses research in sleep studies, and her background in this field.
