Almost a year into the pandemic we’ve transitioned most of our teaching and learning into completely virtual activities. By now most of us have participated in some live online activity by connecting with others via technology services such as ZOOM or Webex. For the most part, this modality seems to be delivering effective instruction in an accessible and convenient way, and literally meeting learners where they are via broadband Internet.

2021 NC Annual STD Update is being held on March 31, 2021 and will be live via Webex ONLY.
To keep all safe, we have decided to host the 2021 NC Annual STD Update as a fully virtual program with no group remote viewing site options.
The 2021 Update will provide up-to-date information on prevention, management and treatment of sexually transmitted infections (STIs). The program will also include a panel discussion with case studies that will review common disease states that may complicate treatment, explore emerging infections, and discuss the future of testing technique implementation.

Access to dental care for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) is identified by families as one of the most challenging health issues they encounter. Families face substantial difficulty finding dentists who have experience providing care to children and adults with I/DD and often have to travel great distances to access dental care. The goal of this virtual workshop is to improve access by enhancing the skills and comfort level of dental teams to provide basic dental care to individuals with I/DD.
