Northwest AHEC was the host for the NC AHEC Statewide Meeting & Celebration for the 50th Anniversary of AHEC in North Carolina. In December 2022, we welcomed our friends from across the state to Winston-Salem for a 3-day conference and evening 50th Anniversary Celebration. #NCAHEC50th

The activity will consist of 3 half day sessions focused on how to assess patients for psychiatric disorders in the primary care setting; how to assess for suicide and dangerousness; and diagnosis and treatment of disorders commonly encountered in primary care (mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychosis, somatic disorders, substance abuse, sleep disorders). There will be an optional half-day for those who wish to become buprenorphine waivered practitioners. The course will be offered in person. Register here

Northwest AHEC is partnering with Charlotte AHEC to offer the Sleep Symposium on March 3rd in person at two locations with faculty presenting live from each location!

Northwest AHEC receives The Partner of Excellence Award at ceremony from the Occupational Therapy Department at Winston-Salem State University that was held on  December 2, 2022.
