Healthy Opportunities Update: Effective Sunday, May 1, 2022, qualifying Medicaid Standard Plan members in 33 North Carolina counties may receive housing and transportation services in addition to food services which became available March 15. 

This webinar will provide an overview of the Pilot program, with a focus on the essential roles and responsibilities of human services organizations that will provide Pilot services to eligible Medicaid members. The webinar will also highlight important upcoming implementation milestones and next steps. The session will be geared towards human services organizations that are interested in providing Pilot services, but is open to the public. There will be time reserved at the end for Q&A. 

Effective January 1, 2021, NC Medicaid and NC Health Choice is temporarily covering Healthy Opportunities screenings to encourage providers to gain capacity for screening Medicaid beneficiaries for unmet health-related resource needs and referring them to appropriate community-based resources, prior to the launch of Medicaid managed care.
