These online modules focus on the reverse integration process and provide details on how to implement this model of care. Credit is offered for FREE in these self-paced online modules (5 to choose from). 

The integration of behavioral health care into primary care is now widely considered an effective strategy for improving outcomes for patients with physical and behavioral health conditions. Reverse integration of primary care into behavioral healthcare is another form of integration that produces improved quality of care and patient outcomes.

Participants will learn the benefits of this model of care, the financial aspects of integrated care, as well as other clinical and operational aspects of providing this model of care.

Target Audience
This series will be beneficial to behavioral health and human service practitioners, including psychologists, social workers, counselors, marriage and family therapists, substance use and addictions professionals, clinicians and all others interested in this topic.

Collaborative Care Management Capacity Building Fund

The NC General Assembly has earmarked $5 million for capacity building for Medicaid-enrolled primary care practices across the state to adopt Collaborative Care Management (CoCM). NCDHHS is contracting with Community Care of North Carolina (CCNC) to manage the Collaborative Care Management Capacity Building Fund award program in partnership with NC AHEC for Practice Support coaching. We’re excited to announce the launch of these funds for eligible primary care practices serving Medicaid members.

If you are a primary care entity serving Medicaid patients and are interested in learning about CoCM and related capacity building fund opportunities, we invite you to join us on October 30 for an overview and opportunity to ask questions. Speakers include Beth Glueck, PhD, LCMHCS, NCC, Integrated Care Program Manager for Community Care of North Carolina, and Eric Christian, MAEd, LCMHC, NCC, Director of Behavioral Health Integration for Community Care of North Carolina. Community Care of North Carolina CoCM Capacity Building Fund

Governor Josh Stein announced a $30 million small business grant program to support businesses affected by Hurricane Helene and to bolster economic recovery.  Small businesses with an annual revenue of up to and including $2.5 million are eligible to apply for grants up to $50,00 from the Western North Carolina Small Business Initiative grant program.

Starting October 1, 2024, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services incorrectly returned certain Rural Health Clinic (RHC) and Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) claims with reason code W7072:

• Type of bill: 017X (RHC) and 077X (FQHC)
• HCPCS code 93010 (electrocardiogram, EKG or ECG)

RHCs and FQHCs should resubmit these claims that were returned in error.
