Updated Single Preferred Drug List (PDL) for Medicaid: A new single Preferred Drug List Formulary became effective April 1. Please note that NC Statute 108D-65(6)(b)  requires all PHPS/Medicaid Plans use the same drug formulary established by the Department.

Medicaid and prepaid health plans (PHPs) have identified a trend in claim denials related to taxonomy enrollment and credentialing. As a reminder, the taxonomy submitted on a claim for billing, rendering and attending providers must be a taxonomy for which the provider is enrolled with NC Medicaid. 

Healthy Blue, an NC Medicaid Pre-Paid Health Plan, has updated its Healthy Blue Provider page to include a 'Known Issues Bulletin' of issues the PHP is working to resolve.
