Starting July 1, North Carolina Medicaid will provide services via 'Tailored Plans' in addition to Standard Plans.
A Tailored Plan is an NC Medicaid Managed Care health plan. It offers physical health, pharmacy, care management and behavioral health services. It is for members with a mental health disorder, substance use disorder, intellectual/developmental disability (I/DD) or traumatic brain injury (TBI).
Now through June 7, 2024, Tailored Plan Beneficiaries are choosing or being auto-assigned a Primary Care Provider.
Starting May 23, 2024, Tailored Plans will mail welcome packets, member handbooks and ID cards to beneficiaries.
We urge you to review two updated resources from NCDHHS. These provide crucial information and resource links to facilitate this transition.
