The NC Department of Health Benefits and the Enrollment Broker have received many inquiries from NC Medicaid Direct beneficiaries who have indicated they were denied services because their provider did not accept NC Medicaid Direct.

Remember, this is simply a new name for traditional fee-for-service Medicaid and approximately 700,000 beneficiaries remain within this program. Services rendered are billed through NC Tracks using the same processes as prior to the launch of NC Medicaid Managed Care.  Do you have new team members or maybe you have re-assigned some team members to new roles and are unfamiliar with this name change for traditional Medicaid.
