As a result of the 21st Century Cures Act Information Blocking provisions, the NC HIEA is updating its User Access, Privacy and Security policies which will become effective April 5, 2021. Most changes are reflected in Section 15 & 16 of the Privacy and Security Policies.

All Participant Account Administrators (PAAs) should receive an email as below:

Dear NC HealthConnex Participant:

After consultation with its Advisory Board, the North Carolina Health Information Exchange Authority (NC HIEA) is revising its (i) User Access Policy and (ii) Privacy and Security Policies. Copies of the revised documents are available here.
