The State of Adolescent Mental Health: Where we've been, where we are, and where we are going

Adolescence is a turbulent time of rapid physical and emotional growth.  In recent years, navigating the challenges of adolescent development has become even more complicated. CDC data shows that 1 in 3 adolescent females in the U.S. considered attempting suicide in 2021---a 60% increase from 2011 data.

Curious about what is normal adolescent moodiness versus what could represent more problematic issues and behaviors? Not sure about what factors impact adolescents or how to have conversations with them or their families?

Our colleagues at South Piedmont AHEC are hosting a FREE lunchtime webinar on this important topic, led by Betsy Thompson, M.Ed., LCMHC.
