Credit
Credit will be awarded based on participant selection at time of registration. Before selecting credits, participants are encouraged to review our Credit Glossary for general information. Please note that not all credit types are available for every program.
Registration
Registration fees cover instructional, administrative, and technical costs associated with the program. Fees are not determined by the number of credit hours or the program agenda and will not be adjusted due to changes such as speaker cancellations or other unforeseen circumstances. Every effort will be made to ensure the success and quality of the educational activity.
Register and pay online at northwestahec.org using a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express). Personal check or corporate check is accepted in person or by mail.
If you have not received confirmation of your registration at least 24 hours prior to the program date, please contact us to verify your registration status. You may call 336-713-7700 or email ahecmktg@wakehealth.edu for assistance.
Payment Policy
Payment is required on or before entrance into any Northwest AHEC activity. If a corporate payment has not been received before the activity start date, you will be required to provide a personal credit card or check. If and when the corporate payment has been received, Northwest AHEC will issue a full refund based on your original form of payment. To avoid personal payment, you should check with the financial staff at your organization to determine the status of payment prior to the event date.
Refund Policy
Cancellations received in our office at least two weeks (14 business days) before the activity will receive a 100% refund. Registrants cancelling between two weeks and five full business days prior to the first day of the event will receive a 70% refund, subject to a minimum $25 cancellation fee. The registration fee will not be refunded if a cancellation is received less than five days before the activity. Cancellations must be in writing (email). You may send a substitute in your place. Please email ahecmktg@wakehealth.edu to change the status of your registration.
Note that this policy does not apply to events without a registration fee.
Enduring Activities Refund Policy
Refunds for enduring activities are available only if access to the course has not been initiated. To request a refund, you must notify us in writing (via email) within 14 business days of purchase. If course access has already been started (e.g., logging in, downloading materials, or beginning any part of the activity), a refund will not be issued. Prior to accessing the course, participants may request to transfer their registration to another individual within the same organization. All transfer requests are subject to approval.

By registering for an activity, your name and email address may be shared with the partner(s) of the continuing education activity.
It is NC AHEC policy to not share participant contact information with exhibitors. The exhibitor must receive participant contact information directly from the participant. The exhibitor is prohibited from soliciting participant contact information from the activity provider, as well as taking photographs of the participant roster.
Media Consent Statement
Attendance at an activity grants permission for Northwest AHEC to take photographs, audio, video, and/or other media to be used for promotional and/or educational purposes. If you have concerns or wish to opt out, please notify a Northwest AHEC staff member prior to or during the event.
Children at Activities
Due to safety concerns, children are not allowed at educational activities.
Handouts
Instructions on how to access the handouts will be included in your registration confirmation email. Handouts or presentation materials may not be available or provided by all speakers. Availability is at the discretion of each speaker.
