Preventing Provider Burnout: A Refreshing Retreat Recap

Written by Stephanie Yoder, MSN, RN | Jun 3, 2024 7:41:00 PM

For the first time in five years, healthcare professionals gathered in downtown Winston-Salem at the beautiful, historic Brookstown Inn for Preventing Provider Burnout. Kicking off the two-day retreat, participants were guided through a rejuvenating wellness activity by the esteemed director of Arts and Wellness at the Sawtooth Center.

Participants were given the opportunity to unwind, bond with one another, and craft a memorable keepsake during the activity. Presenters offered learning activities designed to help healthcare professionals recognize signs of languishing and burnout, cultivate strategies for well-being, and build a toolbox with stress management techniques.

Attendees enjoyed delicious meals, engagement with presenters and colleagues, and gaining strategies to help prevent burnout while caring for their patients.
