The podcast was started to help demystify healthcare in ways that might be relevant and timely to professionals in all disciplines, with a focus on our region. These conversations cover a myriad of topics covering an area as wide as healthcare and public health.
I love asking questions, exploring terminology and concepts, and of course waxing philosophical about things such as healthy communities, community development, health disparities, nutrition and culinary medicine, behavioral change and so much more.
Sheriff Bobby Kimbrough stopped by to discuss challenges of law enforcement and healthcare. Author and professor Eric Wilson joined me to discuss happiness and melancholy, Forsyth Technical Community College President Janet Spriggs shared insights of the importance of economic mobility and opportunities for students in our area, Dr. Michael Soo and I went deep in energy and holistic approaches to healing, Nigel Alston, one of my repeat guests shared stories about healthy communities, Rev. Maria Teresa Jones and I talked about love and faith (and dancing!), and most recently Drs. Ajay Dharod and Gary Rosenthal shared insights about health informatics, big data, and the continuum of learning health systems.
