NP Week 2024: Celebrating Nurse Practitioners!

More and more patients are embracing prevention and early intervention to stay healthy and avoid health related complications. NPs encourage health promotion and a comprehensive, wellness-first approach. November 10-16, 2024 is National Nurse Practitioners (NP) Week! 

Fast Facts:

  • More than 70% of all NPs deliver primary care.
  • There are more than 385,000 licensed NPs in the country, and just over 15,000 in North Carolina.
  • NPs can prescribe medicines including controlled substances in all 50 states.
