Parents trust their health care provider, even if they have questions about recommended childhood vaccines. Help make sure they get real answers. Talk early and often with families about the importance of vaccines. There are no shortcuts—building trust and motivating parents requires empathy, clarity and consistency. Evidence supports that being kind and understanding helps parents who are unsure.
