Program Objectives

Upon completion of the activity, participants should be better able to:
  • Recognize the complications that may arise in ED patients with regard to the specific system (body, social, psychological) being discussed.
  • Identify when, how, and to whom referrals should be made regarding these complications.
  • Incorporate attentive, inclusive and comprehensive care for their patients who may be struggling with eating disorders and their
    complications.

Credit

Each lecture will provide the following credit:

  • 1.0 Contact Hour from Northwest AHEC
    Nurses: This educational activity (1.0 contact hour) can be applied toward your continuing competence plan for maintaining your current licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
  • This program will provide 1.0 contact hour of (Category A) continuing education for North Carolina psychologists.
    No partial credit will be given.
  • Application will be submitted to the Commission on Dietetic Registration for 1.0 CPEUs.
  • 1.0 NBCC Contact Hour. Northwest AHEC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 5465. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Northwest AHEC is solely responsible for all aspects of the program.
  • The Wake Forest School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
