Congrats to UNCG School of Nursing RN to BSN Graduates!

Congrats to the UNCG School of Nursing Students who graduated! May Commencement was held on May 5th and this photo was taken with four RN to BSN graduates. Students in the photo are from left to right: Breean Falcon, Michele Stretz, Carrie Hill (Director), Stephanie Hooks, and Bianca Engram.

UNC Greensboro’s School of Nursing has received NC AHEC funding for many years for their Off-Campus Nursing Degree Educational Mobility Program. This program focuses on RN to BSN education through the continuation of cohorts offered in both the hybrid and online format. The RN-BSN cohorts supported by NC AHEC funding serve students from 27 different counties across North Carolina. The outreach of the RN-BSN program at UNCG continues to impact nurses in rural and underserved areas of the state.

This Program was initially held in Hickory, with students attending classes from around the state. UNCG currently has a partnership with Forsyth Technical Community College, Winston-Salem campus, to serve their Associate Degree in Nursing students as they pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Previous partnerships have included Gaston College, Davidson County Community College and Piedmont Community College. Future collaborations may also include Surry Community College and Wilkes Community College.
