Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Certification Review Course - Live Webinar June 6-7

This course is designed for the psychiatric-mental health nurse generalist (Registered Nurse) to enhance their knowledge base of nursing processes, relevant supportive concepts, and theoretical interventions that apply in caring for patients and families who experience common mental, behavioral, and emotional health problems across the life span.  

Attendees gain contact hours that may be applied to the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing certification examination requirements offered through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Success on this examination earns the PMH-BC credential for the Registered Nurse. Kim Hutchinson EdD, MSN, MS, PMHCNS-BC is a board-certified psychiatric mental health advance practice nurse and faculty consultant for the American Nurses Association, the American Psychiatric Nurses Association and Continuing Education.Net and others. Credentialed as a Certified Addictions Registered Nurse (CARN), she holds licensure as a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS) for the state of North Carolina. Professional work involves assurances that healthcare systems interface and integrate the co-occurring needs of consumers across the lifespan. The adoption of evidence-based practices is the promoted gold standard. Dr. Hutchinson has experience as a clinician, university faculty, researcher, sexual assault expert, author, test item writer, publisher, and speaker. Earned baccalaureate in nursing from Fairfield University, master’s in epidemiology and health services research from Wake Forest University, master’s in nursing from Lehman College of the City University of New York, doctoral degree in educational psychology from Northern Illinois University.
