Person Centered Care in a Virtual World: Oxymoron or Opportunity?

Written by Brooke Kochanski | Feb 12, 2021 3:03:45 PM

Join us on April 1st, 2021, 12:00-1:30PM for this LIVE WEBINAR to discuss Engaging and Treating Clients with Substance Use and Co-occurring Disorders in the COVID-19 Pandemic.

With the unexpected onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, behavioral health providers have had to rapidly and vastly change their way of delivering clinical services. For those providing treatment to clients with substance use and co-occurring disorders, this transition led to a significant disruption in care to highly vulnerable and at risk individuals. At the same time, the number of people turning to substances to cope with COVID-19 related anxiety and depression has increased the demand for services that are now less available or accessible.

Over the past year, an array of on-line trainings and certification programs have guided providers through this transition by addressing the important technical, ethical, and financial issues associated with virtual care delivery. This webinar will be focused instead on the real world challenges of serving vulnerable populations and treating complex disorders using virtual platforms.
