It will cover the clinical assessment requirements and the various screening tools used to determine the right level of care and make appropriate referrals. Additionally, the training will explore the different levels of care and available services for children, adolescents, and adults within the current behavioral health system.

Faculty
Erica K. Smith, MSW, LCSW owns Whole Mentality, PLLC in Raleigh, North Carolina. A graduate of The Institute for Creative Mindfulness EMDR Therapy Training Program. Erica is an EMDRIA Certified EMDR therapist and Approved Consultant. Erica is licensed in the state of North Carolina as a Clinical Social Worker and is also a clinical supervisor for associate level clinical social workers in NC. Her current clinical experience includes complex trauma/PTSD, dissociation, chronic illness, child/adolescent EMDR, racial trauma, religious trauma, depression, anxiety, interpersonal violence/domestic violence, sexual assault, abuse, attachment, and more. Erica’s primary focuses are chronic illness/medical trauma, racial trauma, religious trauma, and IPV. Erica provides EMDR therapy along with DBT, Pain Reprocessing Therapy, Flash, and Progressive Counting to children, teens, and adults. Past clinical and professional experience includes community mental health, human trafficking first response and survivor services, and serving as the youth services coordinator for a domestic violence agency.

Credit
• 2.0 Contact Hours from Northwest AHEC
 NC Licensed Clinical Social Workers may use contact hours from Northwest AHEC for license renewal.
• Northwest AHEC is recognized by the North Carolina Psychology Board as an approved provider of
 (Category A) Continuing Education for North Carolina Licensed Psychologists. This program will provide 2.0 contact  hours of (Category A) continuing education for North Carolina psychologists. No partial credit will be given.
• Application has been submitted for 2.0 contact hours of General Skills Building credit from the North Carolina  Addictions Specialist Professional Practice Board.
• This program does not provide specific NBCC Credits. However, per LCMHC licensure guidelines, you may submit up to 15 contact hours of continuing education by attending programs by affiliates of the National Area Health Education Center Organization (NAO). Northwest AHEC is a member of the NAO.

Cost and Registration
$25 — This program is offered at a reduced registration fee through support from Old Vineyard Behavioral Health Services.
