Gravidas at Risk is an annual 2-day statewide perinatal conference designed to address both inpatient and outpatient care.

Objectives

• Discuss how doulas and nurses can jointly support the emotional, physical, and informational needs of birthing individuals.
• Recognize the hallmarks of languishing, burnout, and flourishing.
• Explore a model for cultivating a flourishing life
• Examine most recent findings in maternal mortality in North Carolina
• Explore best practices and evidence-based strategies for the prevention and management of postpartum hemorrhage.
• Identify effective strategies and interventions to mitigate risks associated with advanced maternal age and obesity during pregnancy.
• Identify current trends and emerging patterns in sexually transmitted infections (STIs) that impact pregnant individuals.
• Develop strategies to integrate updated practices into prenatal care to enhance outcomes and reduce STI-related complications.
• Identify key social determinants of health that impact high-risk pregnancies, and develop strategies to address these factors to improve maternal and fetal outcomes.

$140 —Registration fee for one day (Wednesday or Thursday)
$260 —Registration fee for full two day conference
$245 —Registration fee per person when a group of three or more registrations are scanned and attached  to the same email or mailed in the same envelope
